Strawberry Daiquiri

Our Strawberry Daiquiri is delightfully sweet. With the first sip, your taste buds will be greeted by the luscious and juicy flavours of fresh ripe strawberries, blended harmoniously with the smooth white rum to create a symphony of fruity goodness. Balanced by a subtle hint of lime juice that adds a refreshing tang, the cocktail's velvety texture glides across your palate, leaving a lingering sweetness that captures the essence of summer. 1. Fill shaker with ice and add cocktail
2. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds
3. Strain into a martini glass
4. Garnish with crushed raspberries

The classic Daiquiri originated in Cuba, reputedly invented by a US engineer who was stationed on the island at the turn of the twentieth century and who named his blend of Cuban rum, lime, sugar and ice after the nearest town. The drink was made famous by Ernest Hemingway (of course it was) who not only spent long afternoons at El Floridita bar in Old Havana, drinking industrial quantities of Daiquiris (of course he did), but who also spread the gospel of the Daiquiri far and wide via his stories and novels. There are now countless fruity variations. The author’s services to the Cuban cocktail are commemorated by a bronze likeness stationed permanently at the bar he loved. We think it’s what he would have wanted. Our own hand-crafted Strawberry Daiquiri is the no-fuss way of enjoying a taste of summer in a glass.

Our Strawberry Daiquiri is made with DropWorks Clear Drop Rum. Distilled in Nottingham using British wheat and a state-of-the-art low-energy distillation process, DropWorks creates a clean, smooth rum with delicate tropical fruit notes and a fresh, balanced finish. Alongside this we use a strawberry liqueur, before completing the drink with sugar syrup, strawberry purée and fresh lime juice to achieve the perfect balance of sweetness and citrus.
