Instructions

Fill shaker with ice and add cocktail
Shake vigorously for 20 seconds
Fill rocks glass with ice and strain cocktail
Garnish with a slice of dried pineapple

The story behind the drink

The Piña Colada, a symbol of tropical relaxation, was created in 1954 by Ramón "Monchito" Marrero, a bartender at the Caribe Hilton in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tasked with capturing the spirit of the island in a drink, he blended rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice into a smooth, refreshing cocktail. Our take is a short and punchy version, using Licor 43 Horchata and Two Drifters Rum to ensure every sip is packed with quality and flavour.

The ingredients

Our creamy (but vegan) base for this cocktail is the extraordinary Licor 43 Horchata. It has layers of delicately sweet Mediterranean flavours with tiger nut, spice and citrus – a real treat for the tastebuds.
